Gran Canaria Airport holds IATA Code as LPA, this is sometimes also called as Gando Airport while some erroneously call it "Las Palmas Airport" too. This is a passenger and cargo handling airport on Gran Canaria island. Gran Canaria is an important airport for Spanish air-transport network. The airport is fifth in terms of passengers as well as cargo. If we consider air operations, it stands at fourth position and ranks at first position for all three categories for Canary Islands. The airport have facilities like banking services, rooms for meeting, restaurants, shopping areas, cafés, chapel , a children's play area, police station (if needed), chapel and the post office.
